*Personal Statement of Practice Philosophy:
"As a Christian-based Physician, I hold true to the gifts that God has given me. The gift of healing is a great blessing to have and I want to use that to help others in their health journey. I believe natural medicine is the medicine that the Lord provided for us here on Earth and we should honor that. He has blessed me with the knowledge and the availabilility of 2 great offices to use natural medicine to restore one's health. I practice honesty and integrity as I serve the Lord to do what He asks of me and that is to help as many as I can through Him with the use of His medicine. This is why I created F.A.I.T.H. The individual letters not only stand for how I approach addressing one's health, but also Faith is a belief. It is confidence, trust and a positive attitude that yes you can get better!" --Dr J
Disclaimer: "I respect all religions and am not trying to change anyone's beliefs. These are my beliefs and philosophy of how I practice. I want all to know where my heart lies."

Food - Food as medicine. We are what we eat, digest, absorb and assimilate. As we became more industrialized our food has become highly processed, genetically modified, and missing valuable nutrients. In addition was the development of the fast food industry and the lack of fresh homemade food as our society became more fast-paced and quick and easy was the way to go. So...the excess here is too much processed high sugary, nutrient poor food and a deficiency in high quality, nutrient rich and phytochemically dense foods.
Anti-oxidants - Oxidation is rust! In our normal biochemical processes, oxidants are formed and we have a system of anti-oxidants that prevent this internal rusting from occurring. What is seen today because of toxins in our environment and poor nutrient food, we are at a deficiency of anti-oxidants and there is an excess of oxidation going on in the body leading to many degenerative diseases.
Inflammation - Chronic inflammation destroys the body. We are meant to have inflammation in times of injury or infection and it is supposed to be short-lived. When the breaks are never applied to inflammation, wide spread low grade destruction is occurring. It is a slow and insidious process that left unchecked can lead to many of our chronic diseases, like cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, Alzheimer's and even certain cancers! Here it is the excess of inflammation and the deficiency can be varied in different people.
Toxicity - We are toxic! Toxins are everywhere; it is how much of a burden it is on the body and how that impacts our health. Pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, plastics, volatile organic solvents, and parabens are the main culprits that affect our health. These range from immune disorders, neurological complications, and reproductive disorders. In this approach, it is the excess of toxicity in our bodies creating a health burden and ultimately leading to disease.
Hormones - Imbalances of hormones create a wide array of negative health consequences. Today we see high levels of estrogen in women, low testosterone in men, high and low stress and thyroid hormones, and high insulin leading to the development of type 2 diabetes. By balancing these hormones, whether it is an excess or deficiency will restore balance and ultimately restore health and vitality.
